Meal planning is a challenging puzzle, especially when balancing strict limits for calories, calcium, and sodium. While today’s plan looks high in fat at first glance, 81% of that total comes from premium, heart-healthy monounsaturated and omega-3 sources (salmon, olive oil, chia seeds, and almonds) that actively help reduce dangerous visceral belly fat and support long-term cardiovascular health.
Evening Update
I knew I shouldn’t have bought the Ritz crackers. Salmon fillets are only available as farm fresh in my area due to high cost of the wild caught. I opted for canned salmon and my husband wanted his with crackers. He bought some “sort of healthy” crackers he had when he was a child. I opted to go with the Ritz we bought the other day. I guess I didn’t totally blow the day away, but I did veer off course. Check out my Actual Food Consumed below for details.
