Place tea bags in heat safe carafe. Pour 5 cups of boiling water over them. Let steep on counter 30 minutes, then place in refrigerator to finish steeping overnight.
Once tea has steeped, remove tea bags.
Measure the hone into a 1 cup heat safe glass meaure
Add the spices. Stir and mix until it looks like slurry with all the spices stirred into the honey. Let stand for 5-10 minutes so spices have time to "bloom" and fully release their flavor.
Pour 1/2 cup of boiling water over the slurry mixture and stir well until honey is dissolved and all is combined.
Pour the slurry mix into the carafe of tea using the remaining 1/2 cup of boiling water to rinse all of the honey slurry into the carafe.
Stir and mix the tea and spices to combine.
Store in sealed carafe in the refrigerator.
To Serve:
Stir tea in carafe to recombine spices.
Pour 1 cup of tea mix over ice in a glass.
Add 1/4 cup low fat milk and stir.
Notes:
Some of the spices tend to settle so stir occasionally while drining.
Experiment with your batches by adding a little more or less of each spice to create the balance you feel tastes the best.
